A straight shot downhill with a slight dogleg right, the green is easily within reach with a short club since the prevailing wind is at your back.

A long dogleg left, the green is hidden down and to the left and is usually out of sight and out of reach until your third shot.

A blind uphill shot off the tee box to a wide fairway. You get the first glimpse of the ocean in the background from the approach shot – a breathtaking view! This is also the number one handicap hole. A 20-yard-wide corridor provides a challenging approach to the stadium-sized green, which sits directly on the water.

A straightforward par 3 with the largest green on the course, it plays along the beach with incredible panoramic views. The wind typically helps on this hole.

A slight dogleg right with a raised green that is well protected on the left by a long waste bunker; a precise shot is required to get up and down on this small, raised green.

A tough, elevated green protected by a sharp drop on the right into a water hazard and bunkers left. Playing into the wind may sometimes require up to two extra club lengths.

This exciting hole plays uphill and into the wind the whole way home, with plenty of visual noise in your way to keep you guessing. You must commit on the approach shot to the green where you’ll have the ocean just below on one side and, on the other, a perfect view of the estuary and Sonoran Desert mountains in the background.

The perfect hole to pick up a stroke! A 3 wood off the tee box will leave you with a short wedge into the green. The green is farther left than you think and has a lot of movement, so be sure to play it smart. Another hole that plays along the ocean!

It’s 13 yards shorter than Hole 1, but plays like a par 5. A tricky drive—uphill, into the wind, and with a limited landing zone—may intimidate you into making a bad decision that puts you in the desert plants to either side of the fairway. Yet another hole that plays along the ocean with a fantastic view on the green inviting you to continue to the back nine.

This wide open fairway is also deceiving, since there is a large hump that will prevent you from seeing the green on your second shot. A very tight green with a drop off on the right and a large bunker on the left protects par very nicely.

A wonderful view of half a dozen bunkers awaits on the tee box. The bail-out zone is to the left, leaving a tricky shot to a small green.

The last hole with a water hazard makes for an interesting forced carry off the tee box. A very long waste bunker on the left leading up to the green requires you to stay left on this hole, but the green can be reached in two with a well-placed drive.

A blind shot off the tee box is made even more challenging by a bunker in the middle of the fairway. This severe dogleg left requires good club selection to make it onto the false-front green. You will have to play into the wind heading toward the ocean.

Plays the same distance as Hole 4, which is also a par 3. However, this one plays in the opposite direction and requires an extra club as the prevailing breeze can catch your ball and make it fall short. This is another spectacular oceanside hole.

The wind at your back makes you want to go for it, and you should, because there is a very generous bail-out zone on the right if you mishit. The smallest green on the course is raised and protected on the left by bunkers. Your short game will be tested to hold this green.

This par 3 looks longer than it really is, but keep in mind that its large green slopes toward you. You can play a club more here since the hole runs back to the ocean and against the prevailing breeze.

500 yards of ocean view, often reachable in two, this fantastic par 5 plays uphill, downhill, and then back to an elevated green. Beach and ocean adjoin the right side from tee to green. One of the most spectacular holes in the world.
